Recently, I introduced the new Stock Screener. It was well-received with many requests to add metrics and capabilities to it.
This week, I spent some time to add the ability to share your Screener easily. There are a few things I hope to achieve with this sharing feature.
1) Easy Translation – To demonstrate how to easy it is to translate a strategy in your mind into a concrete screener. I have translated and shared a Screener based on an article that I wrote about my strategy towards playing the mini-game, BeatTheMarket which uses real market data. It would be great if you could share your strategy in the form of screeners too!
2) Simply Sharing – Currently, there are 282 public portfolios in SGXcafe. Portfolio sharing pages are actually one of most visited pages in SGXcafe. This shows that people enjoy sharing and also viewing shared stuff. Hence, I want to create a channel for people to easily share more.
3) Improve – By sharing our screeners, we can learn from one another on how to refine them and hence improve them.
