SGXcafe Turns One! Thank You!

The first SGXcafe article was released on 15 March 2015, so SGXcafe officially turns one today! Many things have happened in this one year.

One thousand daily visitors
In this one year, SGXcafe has grown from just one daily visitor (me) to more than a thousand daily visitors now. I’m so glad so many people enjoy using SGXcafe. Thank you for your support!

Invest using only SGXcafe
I have added all the information and features that are needed for me to depend solely on SGXcafe to make all my stock market investment decisions and portfolio management. This was one of the original motivations for creating SGXcafe. Next, I plan to focus on adding features to SGXcafe that can help me to make market-beating investment decisions. Dividend Strength Estimator is the first step towards that goal.

Better infrastructure
If you have been a regular user of SGXcafe, you might have noticed in the past that periodically, SGXcafe would suddenly become inaccessible for several minutes. This usually happens because I need to restart my web server whenever I release an update to SGXcafe. However, I have since upgraded the infrastructure so restarting is no longer required when making updates. This means no more erratic downtime and having to re-login every few days.

Help me help you
I am the only person working on SGXcafe which basically means I “bao sua bao hai” (it means one-man show in English). Therefore, sometimes bugs slip by me. I really appreciate it if you could report any strange things you find while using SGXcafe. Also, if SGXcafe has been useful to you, please share it with others! And if SGXcafe has not been as useful as you’d like, please give me feedback. I am always happy to hear how I can make it better.

p.s.: My wife also contributes to SGXcafe by copyediting all the articles before I post them to ensure that I am making sense since I have a poor command of English, although any mistakes that remain are solely mine (she wrote that last part 😉
