Dividends Override was introduced to SGXcafe during the time when one account can hold only one portfolio. Soon after, I introduced the support for Multiple Portfolios in SGXcafe. However, Dividends Override was not updated to support Multiple Portfolios. This mistake potentially caused some mistakes in computing the total dividends you have collected if you happen to hold the same stock in different portfolios.
I have already fixed this bug and each override will be assigned to a specific portfolio from now on. All current Dividends Override have been by default assigned to the “default” portfolio, so if you currently have Dividends Override and do not want it to be assigned to the “default” portfolio, please update them to the correct portfolio here. My apologies for this bug, and please let me know if you need more support regarding this issue. I also appreciate user jonong for alerting me to it.
At the same time, I also took the chance to make several improvements related to Dividends.
1) Now, if you filter by stock in the Dividends Collected tab, you can see a yearly summary of Dividends received for that particular stock.
2) In the Portfolio Report, you can now see the breakdown of the projected dividends.
3) You can now also filter all sub-tabs under Portfolio Dividends by a particular portfolio.
I would like to thank all users for reporting bugs and requesting features. SGXcafe is better because of you 🙂
Happy investing!
