Update on 1 August 2024: You can now always include Hospitalization plans.
Due to personal experience, I am a strong believer in having adequate insurance coverage for wealth protection. Over the years, I have accumulated several policies for myself, my parents, and my wife.
Managing these policies with spreadsheets became cumbersome, prompting me to add the ability to track insurance in StocksCafe to organize your insurance policies all in one place.
This new feature allows you to easily monitor premiums, benefits, and other important details. Additionally, I included a PDF export function, making it simple to share this information with your loved ones.
Currently, this feature is available on m.stocks.cafe, accessible via both desktop and mobile.
Best of all, this feature is free for all Friends of StocksCafe. Try it out and start organizing your policies neatly with StocksCafe today!
As always, feedback is welcome on how to make it better!
Thanks you Evan! You are always adding value to Stock Cafe! The best investment I ever made
Hi Evan! Was trying out this feature and generally, it gives me a good sense of how much premium I am paying each year. However, I do encounter some issues inserting some policies which do not contribute directly to death, TPD, CI or gender-related. An example will be careshield life which gives income for only specific situations. Also, even though hospital plans are not included in this version, may I request it to be added in future editions as I am also tracking the premiums paid for my parents and spouse.
Thank you for this exciting feature!
Hi there,
Thank you for the feedback! Yes, you are right. I should definitely have the ability to track Hospitalization plans as well.
What are the key numbers/data you want to track for hospitalization plans (beyond premium)? There are quite a few numbers in such plans. Might not make sense to get users to enter everything. I personally think the co-payment part is important. What else should I have?
Cheers,
Evan
Hi Evan. Great feature! One suggestion: can the cash value of the insurance policies be part of our overall portfolio?
One more thing… The dropdown selection for the insurer should also include Singlife (formerly Aviva).
This is done.
Hmm.. For now, I prefer not to mix (portfolio and insurance) them.
Hi Evan, there seems to be a bug for the insurance page. The Overview page will show “Hospitalization” under the Benefits Column even though the Type is “Wealth Protection” and “Wealth Accumulation”.
I hope I understand how its work and please fix it soon if it is indeed a bug. Thanks.
Hi there,
I am not sure what you meant. Can you send me a message on forum.stocks.cafe? So that I can know your username and take a look.
Thanks,
Evan
For tracking Hospitalization plans, it will be good to be able to track how much of the premium is paid by medisave and cash, making the total premium.
