TradingView is arguably the gold standard in charting nowadays. Furthermore, in the recent round of Zoom discussions, it was also one of the features that was requested by a few users. So, as always, ask and you shall be given 🙂
Today, we are happy to share that we have successfully integrated with TradingView (in Desktop for now). If you go to any stock page (e.g. DBS, Apple), you will see that the Technical Chart is now powered by TradingView.
Capabilities
We have integrated TradingView charts with StocksCafe data. This means that it comes with most capabilities of TradingView. If you are new to TradingView, you can learn the basics via this YouTube video.
By default, we have added two indicators on the chart. That is, the Bollinger Band (20, 2) and the RSI (14) indicators. For now, we have not added the ability to set your default indicators but that is something we intend to work on. So, let us know your favourite indicators (that is supported by TradingView) and we will do our best to make it available.
Since the chart is integrated with StocksCafe data, you can see when you bought the stock (symbol B), when you sold the stocks (symbol S) and when the stock gave out dividends (symbol D). If you click on those symbols, more details will be given.
Next, we will work on integrating TradingView into our mobile web and also explore more ways to leverage TradingView. Of course, we would love to hear from you on how we can make this powerful chart even more useful for you.
Happy charting!
Amazing update, a feature that I’m sure a lot of the community would benefit from! Thanks for all the hard work Evan! 💪🏻
I am glad you like it 🙂
Seconded, this is fantastic work Evan!
Thanks Evan for integrating TradingView, thanks you for the work you been doing.
Hi Evan, I use TV already so know it as a great platform for charting.
My personal preference is to work with white background rather than black, I had a poke around in the settings but could not find how to switch, is it available?
Sorry, just realized the I did not answer this question. I tried to set it to have white background but somehow was not successful. I will log this down as an issue and try to find a solution again later on.
Wonderful:! Please add mark minervini trading template.
What is mark minervini trading template?
Great initiatives! Weird though as I am still seeing yahoo price charts in my stock section. is there something I need to do to activate trading view charts? thanks!
Oh.. Simply select Technical Charts.
LOL. Thanks – not sure why I missed that.
