Over the weekend, I have successfully migrated everything to the new domain, stocks.cafe, with upgraded software and hardware.
However, the migration over the weekend did not proceed as smooth as I had hoped. Everything that could go wrong went wrong. On hindsight, I should not have tried to upgrade everything at the same time. There were numerous bugs and errors that I had to fix throughout the weekend. I apologize if you tried to use StocksCafe and had a bad experience during that time.
Even till now, there are still a few known issues. Rest assured that I will fix them one way or another.
Slow Response – You might have noticed that StocksCafe is slower than before, and you are right. Previously, 95% of the requests take less than 0.5 seconds but now they are taking more than 4 seconds. I do have a few suspects and several ideas on how to fix them. Fast response time is certainly one of my top priorities.
Missing Emails – Many of you might not have received your daily market update emails. There are two possible reasons:
1. Landing in the spam folder
As the email address has changed from email@example.com to firstname.lastname@example.org, please whitelist this new email address/domain so that the emails will not go into your spam folder.
2. Blacklisted by some email servers
Another reason could be because some email servers such as microsoft.com and spamrl.com have blacklisted me as a spammer. I believe the reason is due to some poor configuration on my part. If you don’t see the email even in your spam folder, consider adding a secondary email address so that you can continue to receive daily updates in the meantime as I work on resolving this blacklist status.
Login Errors – I have received reports of users not being able to login and not receiving any reset password emails. If this is also happening to you, please do not hesitate to email me (email@example.com), I will manually reset your password for you.

Despite all these issues, I do not regret migrating (although I should not have done them all at the same time) because I believe this is a necessary step as StocksCafe prepares itself for the global expansion. I appreciate your patience during this transition period!
